Uber: Better Carpool?
Some users (like me) prefer carpool mode(for me,because it's cheaper), but sometimes(especially in early morning or late night), Uber/Lyft takes too long to try to find another rider, the user has to cancel and retry again - this wastes time for customer and driver.
How about a mode (soft carpool mode?): Uber will try to find another rider in 1 or 2 mins, if can't find one, then witch to single driver mode with 20% off? if later, (before driver arrives), Uber can find another driver, then go back to carpool mode?
-- for this kind of user, they may feel if they can save some money, it's good, but if not, its fine.
or maybe another mode(hard carpool mode), user can insist on carpool mode: Uber put this user in a queue, then continue to find another rider, if found, find nearest rider.
This may be good for both customers and drivers.
